All programs will begin on January 9, 2012 and
end on May 17, 2012.
Reminder: if the school is closed for any
reason, the Recreation Program will be
cancelled.
Open Gym will
start in March 2012. Additional
information will be posted when available.

GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Chair Yoga
Considered a gentler form of yoga, uses a chair for
additional support. Most of the exercises are done while
sitting on, leaning on or holding onto a chair. Children
who must accompany parent to class must remain in the
library seats and must remain quiet during the session.
No pre-registration required. Class held in the high
school library. Instructor Mary Brown.
Circuit Training
Strength exercises that are combined with
endurance/aerobic exercises. The benefits of a
cardiovascular and strength training workout as well as
Pilates training. Open to all persons ages 14 and above.
Children who must accompany parent to class must remain in
the auditorium seats and must remain quiet during the
session. No pre-registration required. Class held on
the stage of the high school auditorium. Instructor - Jane
Grider.
Walking
Open to
all persons ages 14 and above. Children younger than 14 may
participate IF ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.
No pre-registration required. Class held in the
hallways of high school. Supervisors - Nancy Trusz and
Bonnie Taylor.
Weight Room
Open
to all persons ages 14 and above. No pre-registration
required. Class held in weight room at the southeast corner
of the high school gym. Instructor Gary Biggs.
Yoga
The practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible.
It also improves the functioning of the respiratory,
circulatory, digestive and hormonal systems. Yoga brings
about emotional stability and clarity of mind. Open to all
persons ages 14 and above. Children who must accompany
parent to class must remain in the library seats and must
remain quiet during the session. No pre-registration
required. Class held in the high school library.
Instructor Mary Brown. You
must bring a yoga mat and towel to class.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

All
programs are open to Lordstown residents, Lordstown
Village employees, and Lordstown School employees only.
Proof of residency or employment may be required, such
as a drivers license with current address, current bill
or pay stub.

All participants must have a
medical information/insurance release card completed
before they may participate in any program. The forms
MUST be completed by a parent/guardian for any person
who is age 18 and under. Forms may be obtained from the
instructor or supervisor of the programs. Cards must be
completed once each program year (starting in September
and ending in August) except for programs not held at
Lordstown schools. Cards must be completed for each
remote site.

PLEASE DO NOT
bring valuables or money to Recreation Programs. The
Village, Recreation Director, Instructors, Supervisors
and the School and its employees are not liable for the
loss of any valuables.

Skateboards, roller-skates,
in line skates and scooters are NOT PERMITTED at
recreation programs.
